Oma D. Gillentine, 91, went to be with the Lord Aug. 25, 2012. Her graveside service will be Saturday, Sep. 8, 2012, at 3 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield, with a memorial service at 5 p.m. at the Marriott. She was the owner of Oma D’s Beauty Shop in Sheffield for many years, retiring in 2001 to move to Florida. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hollis.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Nolan and Pati Carter, of Winter Park, Fla.; her stepson and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Ann Gillentine, of Cherokee; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
