Ollie Kate Massey, 79, of Hartselle, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017.
Born May 24, 1938 in Morgan County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Merrill Dayton Mason and Carrie Mason.
Kate was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others. God and her family were the most important things to her. She loved attending her church and had an unwavering faith in God.
She is survived by her children; Reba Spears, Arab, AL, Wesley (Kay) Massey, Hartselle, AL, Curtis Massey, Somerville, AL, Barbara (Dale) Herrington, Hartselle, AL, Rebecca Massey, Hartselle, AL, Jo (Brian) Vonckx, Bon Aqua, TN, Anita (Tim) Hood, Hatton, AL; 22 loving grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 sisters and 5 brothers.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 6-8pm. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, October 8 at 1pm.The visitation and service will be both be held at Peck Funeral Home located at 1600 US 31, Hartselle, AL 35640.
