Oliver Sanders Smith was born August 13, 1931 in McNairy, TN the son of the late Marion Alvin and Doshia Ethel Bryant Smith.
He was united in marriage to Nola Faye McDaniel on April 17, 1956.
Mr. Smith was a Master Carpenter for H&M Construction. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in McNairy, the Masonic Lodge in Bethel Springs, TN and served his country honorably in the United States Army.
Some of his favorite pastimes were wood working, welding, gardening, bird hunting, trapping, spending time with his grandchildren, telling stories, and singing in church.
He is survived by his wife Nola Faye (McDaniel) Smith of Bethel Springs, TN; a daughter, Tresa Faye Reynolds and husband Danny T. of Selmer, TN; a son, Lecoy Smith of Bethel Springs, TN; three grandchildren, Chasity N. Smith of Roanoke, VA, Kyle A. Brown of Fallbrook, CA, Zachary L. Brown of Selmer, TN; and a greatt-grandchild, Tristian I. Brown of Fall Brook, CA.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by a grandchild, April Dawn Smith; four sisters, Ozell Oliver, Hazel Gadberry, Alma Hooper, Ramel Taylor; and a brother, Birl Smith.
