Oliver Elzie Hood, 90, passed away Monday, February 29, 2016, at his home. He was born October 2, 1925 to the late Oliver Dennis Hood and the late Myrtie Johnson Hood. He retired from Chrysler Motors after 37 years of service. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening when he was able and loved his pets. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Services will be 11:00 am on Wednesday March 2, 2016 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Jackie Gray officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Senter Funeral Home.
Survivors include his Son, Michael (Debra) Hood of Fulton, Grandsons: Steven Hood and Jesse Hood; Granddaughters: Connie (Daniel) Sloan and Amber Hood; Great-granddaughters: Kristen Hood, Mikayla Hood, Taylor Hood, Ava Norton, and Mylah Hood; Great-grandson, Dakota Bates; Great, Great-grandsons: Landin Courtney and Devyn Lindsey.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife, Elinor Hood, Brother, Grady Hood, Sister, Dessie Wayne Tucker, Half-brother, Robert “Buddy” Hood
Pallbearers are Steven Hood, Jesse Hood, Dakota Bates, Corby Biskerstaff, Will Ashley, and Daniel Sloan.
