Funeral service for Miss Olivene Pigg, age 89, of Fayetteville, will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home in Fayetteville, TN, with Bro Jim Black officiating. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. Miss Pigg passed away Monday at her residence.
Miss Pigg was a native of Lincoln County, and the daughter of the late James C and Mary Foster Green Pigg. She was a member of Washington Street Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school for over 30 years.
Survivors include sisters, Doris (Robert) Lewter of LA, and Joetta Bigham of TN. a brother, James (La Wanda) Pigg of MO; ; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Miss Pigg was preceded in death by brother Thomas Doak Pigg.
Visitation with the family will be 9:00 a.m. until time of service at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Washington Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville, TN.
