Oline Phelps Bell, 93, was born on July 12, 1931 to the late Melvin Phelps, Sr. and Gola Snyder Phelps. She passed away on May 8, 2025 at her residence in Mathiston, MS, surrounded by her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, James Willard Bell; 12 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Wayne Bell (Marilyn), Tony Bell (Robin Leslie), Billy Bell (Robin Mann), and Darlene Bell Roberson (Tony); brother, James Everett Phelps (Patricia); grandchildren, Angel Rucker (Larry), Kris Bell (Melissa), Adam Bell, Megan Williams, Matthew Bell, Nathan Bell (Haylei), Brooke Chance, and Eli Bell (Madison) and great 18 great grandchildren.
Oline was the most loving mother to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She made sure her love for the Lord and her family always came before herself. She was always a servant to others. She loved to cook for her family and friends and Sunday dinner was her favorite after church. Her humor would keep everyone laughing. She lived a full life of love, laughter, and joy and was loved by everyone she met.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, May 12, 2025 from 12:00-1:00 PM at Double Springs Baptist Church in Maben, MS, with the service immediately following. Burial will be in the Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
