Ola Mae Yielding – Obituary

2550-4306-OlaMaeYieldingOla Mae Yielding, 77, of Florence, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 at ECM Hospital. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church for over 40 years where she started the first Sunday school class in the Shoals area for the mentally handicapped. Ola Mae was a devout Christian and Godly woman. She was also an excellent seamstress and cook.

Visitation was last evening at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be today, Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the First Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Malone and the Rev. Chris Compton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Yielding was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Yielding; parents, Charlie and Bessie Holland; sister, Lorene Floyd.

She is survived by her son, David Yielding (Tammy) of Killen; daughters, Linda Tidwell (Ray) of Rogersville; Marla Yielding (Valerie) of Sheffield; sisters, Wilma Sibley of Haleyville, Shirley Dickerson of Killen; Fayrene Whitman (Billy) of Haleyville; grandchildren, Misty, Matthew, and Wesley; four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Yielding’s nephews will serve as pallbearers.
