FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department made an arrest this morning. Two men were caught as they tried to stripe wire from a home in Florence. here is how the Florence Police Department describes the event:
“Quick response by Florence Officers Lucas Stansell and Michael South led to the arrest of two men burglarizing a residence in North Florence. Kenneth Wayne Smith, 37, and James Andrew Bailey, 23, both of Florence, were arrested as they attempted to strip wire from inside a residence shortly before 3:00 AM this morning. Both were taken into custody without incident and charged at the scene. They were booked into the Lauderdale County Detention Center on a number of charges including Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Mischief.”
