Odie Gaither Carter age 87 of Athens, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Carter was born April 1, 1928 in Limestone County, AL to Oscar Carter and Pearl Roberts Carter.
Services will be Thursday, May 21, 2015 3:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with James Wiser officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunnyhill Cemetery.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ella Neely Carter; two sisters and two brothers.
Survived by three daughters, Mitzi Depew and husband, Dennis, Roxanna Williams and husband, Charles and Mia Carter; two sons, Juan Carter and wife, Mickey and Bryan Carter and wife, Teresa; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Carter and Billy carter; three sisters, Louise Davis, Eunice Gordon and Betty Bennett; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Depew, Michael Carter, Adam Depew, Jordon Carter and Colton Williams.
