Odell Howard Tidwell, age 91, of Ypsilanti, MI, passed away Sunday,
October 4, 2015 at home. He was born February 15, 1924 in
Haleyville, Alabama, son of William Sylvester & Lily Tidwell.
Mr. Tidwell was a long-time resident of Ypsilanti, MI. He retired from
Ford Motor Company after 53 years of loyal service and loved his
work. He also enjoyed drag racing and automotive repair.
Mr. Tidwell is survived by daughter Betty Herring, 3 grandchildren
Chester Hill, Ronald (Michelle) Herring, Jr., Lisa Herring, 2
great-grandsons Nick and Louis, a brother Austin (Rilda) Tidwell,
also many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice G. (Hulsey) Tidwell in
1990, also his daughter Dianne Hill-Morgan and grandson Franklin
Morgan in 2012.
Memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Association would be
appreciated.
