Funeral services for Obera Evon Jester, 86, of Cullman, will be at 11 a.m., Thursday June 12th, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Central Cemetery, Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Jester passed away Monday, June 9, 2014 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born June 28, 1927 to parents, Ottis Kyle and Mae Etta Rainey Chandler.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister; a brother, Hurl Chandler; and a son, Wayne Jester.
Survivors include son, Wade (Gina) Jester; three daughters, Barbara Laney, Betty (Ancil) Wallace and Freda (Terry) Duskin; brother, Burl (Betty) Chandler; sister, Jean (Galen) Stisher; sixteen grandchildren, Dumont Laney, Janola (John) Mitchell, Cloressia (Bobby) Mattox, Ronald Laney, Allyson Sapp, Sharyn (Gary) Hollingsworth, Lee (Kristie) Wallace, Anna (Tim) Beck, Jamie Duskin, Michelle (Brian) Connell, Kristin Harris, Elizabeth (Ty) Watwood, Randi (Shawn) Leonard, Katie Batemon, Alex Webb, Jennifer Jester; 27 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m
