Funeral services for Obera Earlene Mosley, 84, of Cullman, will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Mt. Hope. Baptist Church, the Rev. Tommy Graves officiating, with interment in adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state from 1-2 at the church.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Mosley passed away Friday, November 1, at Hanceville Nursing Home & Rehab. She was born October 16, 1929 to parents Doc Oliver and Minnie White James. She was a former member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church for many years and currently a member of Brickyard Baptist. She loved gardening, and cooking for her family. She also loved flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carol Mosley; her step mother, Myrtle James; a son, Douglas Mosley; and twin grandsons, Brandon and Bradley Mosley.
Survivors include three sons, Rex (Benita) Mosley, Darrell (Teresa) Mosley, and Larry (Kellie) Mosley; a brother, Rayburn James; seven sisters, Othera Thornton, Betty (Robert) Robinson, Ival Lou Thomas, Freda Swann, Ruth Ragsdale, Joyce Ragsdale, and Shirley (Thomas) Baker; 9 grandchildren, Justin (Summer) Mosley, Tiffany (Chad) Gambrill, Leah (Jason) Sapp, Andy (Joann) Mosley, Holly Mosley, Regan (Jamey) Jones, Chase (Leslie) Mosley, Crystal (Josh) Lucas, and Shalina Mosley; 11 great-grandchildren, Jackson Mosley, Brandon Mosley, Cassie Mosley, Ashtyn Sapp, Ally Sapp, Patrick Sapp, Cheslie Black, Bradley Mosley, Blayne Jones, Grayson Jones, and Noah Jones; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
