Oakley Lilous Martin, age 73 of Winchester, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family. A native of Franklin County, he was born on June 23, 1947 in Huntland, Tennessee to the late Fred and Louise (Payne) Martin. Oakley was a well known and respected antique dealer throughout the South. In his spare time, you could find him watching westerns or the Tennessee Volunteer football team. But most of all, he enjoyed the precious time spent with his beloved family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Jo Anne Atnip, Dixie Sims, Oscar Martin and Felix Martin. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Ruthie Mae Jackson Martin of Winchester; sons, Troy (Felicia) Martin of Winchester, and Cory (Amy) Martin of Franklin, Tennessee; grandchildren, Maggie (Grant) Gipson, Nikki Martin, Jeb Martin, Cooper Martin and Avery Martin; siblings, Mark (Vickie) Martin of Tullahoma, Grady (Priscilla) Martin of Winchester, Ken “Bub” (Linda) Martin of Meridianville, Alabama, Glenn Martin of Winchester, Billy Martin of Carolton, Georgia, Gladys (Joe) Keller and Debbie “Joc” (Ronnie) Farmer both of Huntland, and Linda Ruup of Tullahoma.
