O. H. Edwards, 88 of Ardmore, Alabama died on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at his home.
Born Saturday, September 26, 1925 in Ardmore, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Odie Houston Edwards and the late Carrie Smith Whitt. He was a resident of Ardmore most of his life. He was retired from NASA and HUD and a Veteran of the US Navy. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ardmore. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Joe Edwards.
Surviving are his wife: Helen Stephens Edwards, of Ardmore, AL, son, Doyle Edwards of Minor Hill, TN, step-daughter: Patsy Langston of Adamsville, AL, step-sons: Mike Thomason and Riley Thomason, both of Ardmore, AL, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bruce Mitchell and Bro. Alan Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
