MUSCLE SHOALS – Northwest Shoals Community College’s (NWSCC) Child Development Center will offer Boom’s Buddies Kids in College July 20-24, 2026.
This year’s Kids in College theme is “MythBusters STEAM Edition.” The camp is open to children entering first through sixth grade in the fall. Each day, participants will experience STEAM-related activities spanning science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
According to the NWSCC Child Development Center Director, Jacque Jefferys, camp participants will learn how to think like scientists and innovators while discovering the truth behind some fascinating myths. “This year’s Kids in College theme is MythBusters STEAM Edition, where students will investigate popular myths, test theories, and explore the world through Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM),” stated Jefferys.
Healthy snacks will be provided daily. Children should arrive promptly at 8:00 a.m. at the Patriot Center (gym) on the Shoals Campus. Each day’s events will conclude at noon.
The deadline for registration is July 15, and the cost is $90 per child. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged. Individual children can be registered at https://shorturl.at/pBi8E.
