MUSCLE SHOALS – Northwest Shoals Community College (NWSCC) will host the Mark Lee Legacy Field baseball field naming ceremony on Saturday, October 7, at 2 p.m. as part of Homecoming and Alumni weekend on the on the Shoals campus.
NWSCC officials will join the Lee family and former players for a ceremony officially naming Mark Lee Legacy Field.
Lee served as the first head baseball coach for NWSCC on the Shoals campus, beginning in 1993. NWSCC was formed in 1993, by the Alabama State Board of Education, through the merger of Northwest Alabama Community College’s Phil Campbell Campus and Shoals Community College. As head coach, Lee’s teams held a record of 239-69, a winning percentage of 77.6. They won four Alabama Community College Conference Northern Division Championships.
The baseball field naming ceremony will be held Saturday, October 7, beginning at 2 p.m. in the outfield of Mark Lee Legacy Field. NWSCC Baseball Field at Patriot Park on the Shoals Campus; 800 George Wallace Blvd., Muscle Shoals, AL 35661.
