NWSCC Talent Search hosted “Pathways to Paychecks” Career Fair for area 10th graders on Wednesday, April 29

 MUSCLE SHOALS -Northwest Shoals Community College (NWSCC) hosted nearly 300 high school sophomores for the “Pathways to Paychecks” Career Fair on Wednesday, April 29th. The event is designed specifically for 10th grade students enrolled in the TRIO Talent Search program across 19 area high schools in Alabama and Tennessee.

The event was held as away to  bridge the gap between education and employment by introducing students to local business and industry leaders alongside NWSCC’s career technical programs. The experience served as an opportunity for students considering future dual enrollment options.

Participating schools include Colbert Heights, Colbert County, Cherokee, Lawrence County (Moulton), Central, Russellville, Florence, Deshler, Sheffield, Wilson, Waterloo, Haleyville, Phil Campbell, Collinwood, Lawrence County (TN), Tharptown, Lauderdale County HS, East Lawrence, and Hatton.
