NW-SCC to provide Academic Transfer Panel Discussion for students

MUSCLE SHOALS– Northwest-Shoals Community College’s (NW-SCC) Student Support Services will provide the first Academic Transfer Panel Discussion for NW-SCC students Thursday, April 5, 2018, in Building 110 on the Shoals campus from 12 – 2 p.m.
According to NW-SCC Student Support Services Director, Ann Lyndon, the transfer panel will provide student with valuable insights on what college life will be like at a university setting.
The transfer panel discussion will provide current NW-SCC students with an opportunity to ask questions and talk with representatives from seven universities.

  • Auburn University
  • Mississippi State University
  • University of Alabama
  • University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB)
  • University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH)
  • University of North Alabama (UNA)
“We really hope we can help our students prepare for what college will be like on different university campuses,” said Lyndon. “Our students are preparing for a major step in their lives as they transition from the community college to the university environment. As they hear from universities of all different sizes, we feel it will help them be better prepared and more successful.”
