MUSCLE SHOALS- Northwest-Shoals Community College (NW-SCC) will hold its second event to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Alabama’s first public junior college Sunday, November 10, 2013, outside the Hospitality House on the Shoals campus.
According to NW-SCC President, Dr. Humphrey Lee, The event will celebrate the founding of the state’s first junior college in 1963 to the success of NW-SCC today. “Our second celebration will give us an opportunity to not only celebrate and honor specific individuals, but also, reminisce with former graduates, faculty/staff and retirees,” said Lee.
The event will feature former NW-SCC President Dr. Larry McCoy serving as Master of Ceremonies for the celebration, live music, food and more. NW-SCC encourages former graduates, retirees, faculty/staff and students to join in the celebration. In case of rain, the event will be held in the Patriot Center.
