A Funeral Service for Novice G. Graben, 73, of Ashland will be Monday, September 18, 2023 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville beginning at 1:00 PM and Pastor Dan Keith officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Christian Church
Mr. Graben was a lifelong resident of Clay County, born in Lineville. After graduating Lineville High School in 1968 he worked for Cal-Maine Foods for many years before working at and retiring from the Anniston Army Depot. He loved hunting and fishing and adored his family.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathy Graben of Ashland; two daughters, Karen Hester(Kenneth, Jr) and Melissa Smith(Eric) of Ashland; grandchildren, Allen Hester and Cherea Hester; brother, Clyde Graben of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; sister-in-law, Rita Graben of Barfield; several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded by his parents Herman and Gwen Graben, sister, Charlotte Flowers and brother, Travis Graben.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Denson, Daniel Smith, Roger Graben, Randall Lane, Heath Austin and Daniel Tidmore.
Visitation will be Monday before the service from 11:30 until 1:00 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Spring Hill Christian Church.
Benefield Funeral Home of Ashland is in charge of the arrangements.
