Mrs. Nova Tatum Alexander, age 94, a lifelong resident of Mayfield, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Good Shepherd Assisted Living in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
She was of the Methodist faith, a former member of the Eastern Star, a Kentucky Colonel and a homemaker.
Mrs. Alexander is survived by one son, Mike (Colleen) Alexander, of Mayfield, Kentucky; two daughters, Janice (Sam) Harrison, of Dacula, Georgia, and Mary Jane (Randy) Clemons, of Anderson, Alabama; six grandchildren, Sidney Harrison, of Dacula, Georgia, Betsy Wright, of Oxford, Alabama, Julie Poisal, of Dacula, Georgia, Corinne Rudd, of Clinton, Kentucky, Shayne Alexander, of Paducah, Kentucky, and Kevin Smiley, of Chandler, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luster M. Alexander.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at the Byrn Funeral Home, of Mayfield, Kentucky. The Rev. Barry Pritchard will officiate. Interment will follow at Mayfield Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Shayne Alexander, Jarrin Rudd, Sidney Harrison, Chris Wright, Mike Poisal and Dale Goodwin. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Tatum and James Parm.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at the funeral home.
