MUSCLE SHOALS-Local high school students demonstrated their skills in the annual welding competition and Design Engineering skills competition Friday, March 21, on the Northwest Shoals Community College (NWSCC) Shoals campus.
The welding competition featured four contests: 7018 (stick welding), 6010 (stick welding), Flux-Core (wire welding), and Torch. Each school will be divided between Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit, Non-Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit, and Agriculture department students. Judges for the competition will consist of business and industry partners. The Design Engineering skills competition will feature five contests: 3D Modeling, 3D Printing, Architectural Design, Print Reading and Engineering Technology/Design.
