Norris Eldon Duncan, age 87, of Spruce Pine, passed away on Friday, April 07, 2023, at Helen Keller Hospital.
Norris was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. He was a history buff and loved watching westerns. He was an artist and had many drawings in the Source Magazine, as well as the book “History and Legends of Franklin County”. He will be fondly remembered for his artwork and being a good man.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lura & Ila Eloise (Pounders) Duncan.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 68 years, Shirley Duncan; in-laws, Donald & Dot Hatton, Bobbie Hatton, Dorothy & Jim Cooper, Sharline & Terry Dempsey; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2023, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Tad Corder officiating. The burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
