Norma Jean CraigNorma Jean Craig, age 86, of Decatur, passed away at her residence, on April 22, 2026. A Graveside service will be held at Burningtree Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 1:00 PM, with Kevin Lovell officiating. She attended Parkview Baptist Church.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert Craig and parents, Frank and Grace Smith; three brothers, Frank Smith, James Smith, and Howard (Bud) Smith; five sisters, Francis Booth, Dean Storey, Mable Thompkins, Georgia Ray, and Clara Wells. She is survived by her Daughter, Janet Watson (Rick); Grandchildren, Anna Dumas, Andrea Lovell (Kevin), Great-Grandchildren, Addison Dumas, Thomas Gray Harbin, Watson Lovell, Charlotte Lovell and Paul Lovell; Sister-in-law, Abbie Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She fiercely loved her family and was extremely proud of her grandchildren and her Great-grandchildren. They brought her great joy. She loved cooking for her family, and loved fishing with her family and friends and was quite good at it.
Pallbearers will be Rick Watson, Kim Harbin, James Croley, Gerry Alexander, Dale Alexander and Chuck Moore. A special thank you to the wonderful staff of Hospice of the Valley, the many nurses, bath aids and social workers made this journey much easier. A very special thank you to her nurse, Elana Clemons. Your love, laughter and gentle care of our loved one will never be forgotten. You are forever a part of our family.
