Norma Jean Case Bailey age 84 of Decatur, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Bailey was born March 27, 1931 in Giles County, TN to T.E. Case and Mablean Wright Case.
Graveside services Thursday, July 16, 2015 11:00 a.m., at Athens City Cemetery with Clint Coffey and Phillip Gilbert officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bailey was a member of First Christian Church of Athens.
Preceded in death by her parents, T.E. and Mablean Wright Case; sister, Rachel Virginia Poteete; four brothers, Foster Wright Case, Thomas Elsie Case, Jr., Joseph Edward case and Alvin Wayne Case.
Survived by her husband of 44 years, David Bailey of Decatur; one daughter, Alice D. Ownby and husband, Josiah of Decatur; three grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Alan Boyd, Pat Speer, Connie Ray Phillips, Kenny Phillips, Edsel Howard, and David Howard. Honorary pallbearers will be John Case, Tommy Phillips, Donny Hargrove and Charles Jackson.
