Norma ‘Ann’ Ingram, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 12, in Fulton, Mississippi. She was born on October 10, 1937, in Birmingham, Alabama. Ann married her high school sweetheart, Sid Ingram, in 1959.

Ann is survived by her sons, Sidney Wayne Ingram, Jr., Norman David Ingram; and grandchildren, Zachariah Mahler Ingram, and Anna Lynn Ingram. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Wayne Ingram; parents, Norman Outler Wison and Martha Nellie Gray; siblings, Rosa Nell Wilson, Howard Norman Wilson, Myrtle Edna Wilson, Horace Broughton Wilson, Robert Nolan Wilson, and Milton Outler Wilson; and countless other loved ones.

Ann lived a life of service to her family and community. Her kindness and genteel ways were that of a generation from a bygone era. She had a soft voice but was quick-witted. She would ‘tell you as she saw it’. Her home was always open to guests traveling both near and far. Friends and family would often make a reservation in her guest room and stay for extended visits full of joy, laughter, and merry making.

Her favorite activities included gardening in the warm sun of Alabama, getting dressed up for lunch at a local restaurant, and reading Nora Roberts books until the break of dawn. She had a sweet tooth and adored freshly baked pastries.

She was deeply loved and will always be cherished by those who knew her.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, September 16 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow visitation at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
