MUSCLE SHOALS – There’s always great music at the W.C. Handy Music Festival. But for many, the presentations given from music greats is a big draw. Wednesday, Counts Brothers Music held a Master Class with music producer and bass player, Norbert Putnam. Putnam also owned (with David Briggs) the world famous Quadraphonic Studios Nashville on Music Row. Putnam now lives back in The Shoals, where he got started in the music business with Rick Hall’s FAME Recording Studios.
Putnam’s presentation was moderated by Sherri St. John of Big River Broadcasting. Counts Brothers was pretty much filled up with people who wanted to know more about the hand-in-glove connection between Muscle Shoals and Nashville. Indeed, there were lots of musicians in the audience.
Here are a few photos of Norbert, Sherry and the audience.
