Celebration of Life for Nora Morris Byrd of Moulton, will be Sunday, July 1st, at 2:00, at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wendell Callahan officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00. A private interment will be held next to her husband in the Speake community.
Nora passed away on June 20, 2018, at NHC Healthcare, Moulton, AL, at age 73. She was born in Pecos, Texas, on December 7, 1944, to Omer and Rondah Pippin Morris. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Olen Laverne Byrd.
She is survived by her four children: two sons, Robert Byrd and Chris (Jan) Byrd of Hartselle, and two daughters, Neeya (Volker) Byrd Detering of Sunnyside, New York, and Philisha (Jonathan) Byrd Stephens of Priceville; grandchildren, Jonathan (Whitney) Byrd, Tyler (Ashley) Byrd, Caleb (Katie) Byrd, Ethan Byrd, Valerie (Michael) Byrd Baker, Victoria Matthews, Michael Matthews, and Arabella Detering; six great grandchildren, and one sister, Neena Morris Kemp of Neel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of the Valley or to your favorite charity.
