Noonan Cooper, a beloved resident of Iuka, MS, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Born on November 19, 1932, Noonan lived a full life enriched by his love for cowboy movies, woodworking, archery, and fishing. He dedicated his career to being a machinist, a profession he pursued with passion throughout his life.
Noonan was a cherished member of the New Salem Baptist Church community. He is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Guanith Cooper, his son, Steven Cooper, and his grandson, Cody Cooper and his wife Celina. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Isaac Cooper and Jackson Cooper, as well as his brother-in-law, Roger Lambert and sister-in-law, Peggy Scarbrough.
Noonan was preceded in death by his parents, William and Josie Strickland Cooper, and his siblings.
A graveside service will be held in his honor on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Oak Grove Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Ron Norvell. Arrangements are entrusted to Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS.
