Nonevee Hicks Schneider, 82, of Huntsville, AL went home to be with Jesus on Friday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond William Schneider; her parents, Roscoe Hicks and Dora Plemmons Hicks; and brother, Gene Hicks. Mrs. Schneider graduated from Calhoun Community College where she received a degree in Nursing. She retired in January 2003 from Huntsville Hospital with 25 years of service as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church.
She loved the outdoors, hiking, crafting, travel and cooking for her family. She was a beloved wife and mother who had a passion for her children and grandchildren and all of her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Camille Phillips (Brent), and Marlene Bruno (Wayne); sister, S. Gwendolyn Tews; sister-in-law, Norma Flaska; brother-in-law, Ron Schneider; and grandchildren, Marie Carney (Matthew), Hunter Phillips, Anna Williams (Nickolas), Samantha James (Jason) and Carol Phillips.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2023, at Whitesburg Baptist Church Chapel South Campus. The funeral service will follow at 2:30. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
