Retirement allowed Nonda to devote her time to serving others. She volunteered as a cuddler in the NICU at Huntsville Hospital, providing comfort and care to countless infants and their families.
Nonda was talented at needlework and quilt making. She found great joy in her craft and spent many happy hours creating beautiful pieces and sharing friendships at her favorite place, Patches & Stitches.
She is survived by her children, Cindy Brooks (Harvey), Kimberly Potts (Mark), and the Favorite Child Kenneth Sloan Jr. (Carmen); her grandchildren, Cody Brooks, Nonda Brooks, Evan Potts (Casey), Emily Potts, and Cannon Sloan; her sister, Cecilia Bruton (Arnold); and her beloved great-grandchild, Violet Mae Potts.
