A gathering for friends and family for Mrs. Nona Faye Browning, age 77 of Ashland, will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland beginning at 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
A demanding character and forceful spirit
Once you meet her she is not forgotten
A ride or die friend
To say she was a bore would be a lie
Roll Tide into the next chapter here after

She might come see you late at night just for giggles
Mrs. Browning is survived by three children: Tony Russell Baird of Columbus, GA, Terry Ray Baird (Sandy) of Deatsville, and William Jamie East (Leah Grace) of Roanoke; her honorary Daughter, Tammy Lee Suggs (Sam) of Ashland; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister-in- law, Virginia Browning of Talladega, plus a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents: David Nolan Browning and Ottie Lee Hendon Browning; her daughter, Angela Faye Baird; four brothers and one sister.
