Nola Blevins, a long time resident of Morgan County, passed away on October 28th, just a few months after her 96th birthday.  She was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Eunice Johnson of Hartselle.  She lived in Alabama the majority of her life, and when living out of state she always wanted to  “go back home to Alabama”.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed lots of activities like gardening and building during her long life.  As a senior citizen she enjoyed crafts, senior dances and taking bus trips with her Southside Baptist Church family where she was a member for about 40 years.  She was a resident of Summerford Nursing Home at the time of her death.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Blevins, and her son, Randall Blevins as well as her sister and brother.  Survivors include her daughter, Carol Crews and husband, Don.  She had 6 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren;  5 Great Great Grandchildren and lots of nieces and nephews.

She will be honored with a graveside memorial service at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at 11 am.  Peck Funeral Home will be officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gideons International in her memory.  The funds will be used to purchase hotel Bibles.
