Nina Sue Burnette, 65, died Friday, August 30, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Care after a short illness. She was born September 4, 1947, to Bill and Bertha Cockrell Bennett. She had worked at Reed’s Manufacturing, Air-Cap, and was a mail carrier. She was a Baptist in belief. She loved growing flowers and vegetables and giving them to her family and friends. The Lord brought home a loving and kind woman.
Services will be at 2 p. m. Sunday, September 1, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Willis Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Keyes Cemetery. McNeece–Morris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, William “Bill” Burnette; one son, William Duane Burnette (Marie) of Peaceful Valley; two grandchildren, Priscilla Burnette of Peaceful Valley and Carey Messer of Mantachie; three brothers, Hershel Bennett (Gwenda) of Nettleton, Terry Bennett (Sherry) of of Mantachie, and David Bennett of Illinois; two sisters, Jo Ann Deaton of New Albany and Hazel Mask (Leon) of Nettleton.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Burnette, who died July 31, 2013; and her parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p. m. Saturday at McNeece–Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
