Mr. Nicky Ray Hulsey, age 69, of the Hulaco community in Morgan County, Alabama, passed away at Marshall Medical Center North on Monday, January 26, 2026. Born on July 19, 1956, in Springfield, Ohio, Nicky was the son of George Ray Hulsey and Bonnie Fay Black Hulsey. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Patricia Kay Busbey Hulsey, with whom he shared more than 45 years of marriage until her passing in 2023.
Nicky’s professional career was as a machinist for Parker & Hannifin in Huntsville, Alabama, where he was known for his dedication and skill. He was also a faithful member of the Grandiflora Church of Christ, remembered by all as a truly kind man who was always ready to lend a helping hand to those around him.
A lifelong Alabama football fan, Nicky cheered passionately for the Crimson Tide, celebrating their victories and sharing his love for the game with family and friends. He valued time spent with his loved ones, dedicating his life to his family and creating countless memories throughout the years.
Nicky is survived by his brothers-in-law, Galen Busbey (Judy), and John Busbey (Holly); niece, Michelle Hicks, (Anthony); nephew, Mike Busbey (Sheena); three great nieces; one great nephew; two great great nieces and two great great nephews.
Services for Nicky will be held at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Thursday, January 29, 2026. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, with visitation beginning an hour prior at 1:00 PM. Brother Ronald Earwood will officiate. Burial will be in the Hebron Church of Christ Cemetery in Joppa. Mike Busbey, Anthony Hicks, Cory Hampton, Jonathan Wright, Lark Earwood, and Russ Whisenant will serve as pallbearers. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
