William “N.W.” White age 90, of Union Grove, the New Friendship Community, passed away Tues. April 20, 2021, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice Inpatient Facility. Mr. White was born on January 24, 1931, in Georgia, the Son of James Marvin and Valera Gallman White. He served in the United States Army and was retired from Dana Corporation where he worked in maintenance. He was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church. He is survived by his Wife: Gail White of Union Grove; Children: Deborah (Michael) Henderson of Southside, Pam (Danny) Duncan of Arab, Nickie (Tina) White of Union Grove, Donna (Harold) Blankenship of Arab and Randy Bryant of Union Grove; Grandchildren: Corey (Lindsey) Henderson, Ashley (Matt) Gaskin, Jessica (Michael) McCrary, Kristen (Barry) Hatchett, Kymberly (Bradley) Hooper, Jeff (Shelby) Blankenship, Jordan (Langton) Pomije, Hunter Bryant, Katie Beth Bryant, Danna (Jerry) Cater; Great Grandchildren: Myles Henderson, Hudson Henderson, Aubrey Henderson, Porter Gaskin, Shepherd Gaskin, Conrad Gaskin, Carson Reed, Griffin Weldon, Whit McCrary, Halle Grace McCrary, Owen Hooper, Nora Kate Hooper, Lexi Leonard, Noah Cater, Nick Cater and Marshall Cater; Great Great Grandson: Josiah Cater; Mr. White was preceded in death by his Parents: James Marvin and Valera White; first Wife: Glynn Woodham White; Sons: Donnie Marvin White and Kenneth Allen White; Grandson: Sean Henderson; Brothers: Edwin White and James White. Funeral Service will be Thurs. April 22, 2021, at 2 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel with Bro. M.J. “Buddy” Strickland and Bro. Daniel Boutwell officiating. Burial will follow in New Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 PM until 2 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers will be: Corey Henderson, Matt Gaskin, Michael McCrary, Carson Reed, Bradley Hooper, Jeff Blankenship, Hunter Bryant and Langton Pomije. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.
