Mrs. Newana Pool Barnes, 89, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012. She was born August 5th, 1922. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow “Tippy” Barnes; her parents, Gabe and Laura Pool; brothers, Kermit and Cecil Pool.
She is survived by her three children, Janice Connor (Bill), Don Barnes (Linda) and Pat Webb (Jim); four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her brother, Carl Pool (Gurtha).
She was a long time member of Hatton Church of Christ where she had many friends. She was an avid gardener and loved working in her yard and garden. She was a beloved mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be 10-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 28th at Lawrence Funeral Home in Moulton and graveside service will follow at noon at Kin Cemetery in Wolf Springs. Chris Miller is officiating.
