Nettie Norman Webb, age 84, passed away at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center on Thursday, April 5, 2018.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Collins-Burke Funeral Home on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Walker Memory Gardens.
Nettie is survived by her Daughter-Charlotte Ussery; Son-Scotty Aaron Webb (Sonya); Sister-Carrie Sherer; Granddaughters-Brandy Nata Petterson, Mary Margaret Brewer and Anne Elizabeth Brewer; Great Grandchildren-Trent Drake Blanton and Lallie Elizabeth Brewer.
Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by her Parents-Robert and Angeline Norman; Husband-Charles Edward Webb, Sr.; Son-Charles Edward Webb, Jr.; Brothers-Hershel Norman, Edward Norman, Lewis Norman and Albert Norman; Sisters-Bernice Love and Belle Dye.
Nettie was born in Thatch, Alabama on July 31, 1933, the eighth child of Robert and Angeline Norman. She loved her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, canning, planting flowers and cooking. Her home was always open to family, nieces and nephews, friends, stray animals and wounded birds. She was an excellent listener and caregiver. You could always drive down Country Club Road and find her on her carport sitting in her red rocking chair. She met many friends there and was always willing to listen. She had a giving heart and was always there to do for others. Nettie’s laughter and smile will be missed by everyone but will carry on in the smiles and laughter of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
