Nettie Jean Carroll, 83, of Tuscumbia, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2017. Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017 at Colbert Memorial, Tuscumbia, from 5-7 p.m. The service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Greg Willis will officiate the service.
Nettie Jean retired from Bell South as a frame worker. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist church.Nettie Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Dessie Jones, and husband, Edward “Ted” Carroll.
She is survived by sons, Michael Wayne Pounders (Georgia), Kim Douglas Pounders (Jean), and Tom Carroll (Effie); brothers, Laverne and Wayne Jones; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
