Nelson M. McGahee, 96, of Huntsville, passed away Monday. Mr. McGahee retired with over 20 years in the US Army, and over 22 years in Civil Service. He enjoyed building classic cars.
Survivors include his wife, Marie McGahee; son, Nelson S. McGahee; daughter, Dr. Katherine L. McGahee; grandsons, Christopher R. Perkins and William S. Perkins; great-grandsons, Grover T. Perkins and Oliver R. Perkins; great-granddaughter, Katlynn Grace Perkins; brother-in-law, Dr. Henry W. Schiessl; and step-great-grandchildren, Madison Pittman and Mason Pittman.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery.
