Nelson Jones of Memphis TN, age 72, went to be with his Heavenly Father on July 3, 2015. A Celebration of his life will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015, at noon at Kirby Woods Baptist Church. A time of visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Eula Jones of Decatur. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Betty Urfer Jones; four sisters, Vinola (Harmon) Brady of Galesburg, MI, Miladean “Millie” Smith of Decatur, Imogene (Howard) Taylor of Lady Lake, FL and Martha Rose (Meredith) Lot of Decatur; two brothers, O’Harrell (Frances) Jones of Crown Point, IN and Clifton (Dorothy) Jones of Decatur; two sons, Gregory (Dana) Jones of Angier, NC and Tim (Tami) Jones of Pelahatchie, MS; four stepchildren, Temme Griggs of West Memphis, AR, Jene (Glenn) Hollis of Nashville, TN, Neal (Pam) Urfer of Nashville, TN and Nona (E) Michaels of Memphis, TN; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who he loved and enjoyed.
