Nellie Ruth PhillipsNellie Ruth Phillips, 85 of Cullman, formerly of Arab passed away Sunday February 15, 2026, at Cullman Health and Rehab. She was born February 1, 1941, in Marshall County, the daughter of Grover Edward Martin and Imogene Buckelew Martin. She was a 1959 graduate of Arab High School and retired from Atrion Medical. She was a long-time member of Old Brashier’s Chapel Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter: Kelly Michele Knop; brother: Eddie Martin; sisters: Thelma (Sonny) Edwards and Julie (Leon) Whitehorn; grandchildren: James Edward ”Trey” Hurst, III and Kayla Dannielle Knop (Joseph) Johnson; She was preceded in death by her parents: Grover and Imogene Martin and sister: Priscilla Mardant.

Funeral Service will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Gober Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Wednesday.
