Nellie Ruth Benson, 94, of Grant, passed away Monday.
She was preceded in death by husband, Howard Benson, son, Alvin Benson, daughter, Dorothy Ann VanNess, parents, Luther Luke and Dorcie Vaughn Moody, brothers, Edward Moody and John L. Moody and sisters, Willadean McCutcheon and Sue Stewart.
Surviving are son, Howard J. (Reda Kay) Benson, sisters, Emma Lou Davis and Allie Mae Leslie, brother, William Franklin Moody, grandchildren, Scott VanNess, Jason (Cassandra) Benson and Tina VanNess, great grandchildren, Jaxon, Caraleigh, Naomi, Alex and Kahlee, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Friday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gary Paseur officiating.
Interment will be in the Morris Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial donations to be made to Encompass Hospice or Alzheimer’s Association.
