Nellie “Nell” Mae Campbell Berry, 85, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown. Nell was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on Feb. 14, 1931, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Chewning Campbell.
She is survived by her loving husband. Louis Bernell Berry.
In addition to her husband, Nell is survived by four children, Catie Schmidt (Kendell), of Defiance, Missouri, Louis Berry (Sandy), of Foley, Missouri, Nathan Berry (Cyndi), of Fairmont, and Deneen Berry (Marvis), of St. Louis, Missouri; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Nell was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Wesley Campbell, and her sisters, Violet Kappler and Dorothy Snider.
Nell loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a member of West Fork Fellowship Church in Fairmont. She was a prolific writer writing poetry as well as literature. She was a lover of music and crocheting. Nell dedicated her life to her family.
The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554, on Friday, July 22, 2016, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, July 22, 2016, at 5 p.m. A committal service will follow at Mt.
