Mrs. Nellie J. Lewis of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama passed away September 24, 2021 at Summerford Health and Rehab at the age of 89.
Ms. Lewis was born on the 4th of July in 1932 in Memphis, Tennessee to Fred and Nellie Richards. She resided in Colliersville, TN, before moving to Lacey’s Spring. She was a homemaker, married to Matthew Henry Lewis Sr., who preceded her in death in 1991.
Mrs. Lewis leaves behind to celebrate her life; daughter, Gwendolyn Jean Stapler; brother, Dale Richards; grandchildren, Michelle Gfellers (Bobby), Chris Walley (Amanda), Kristy Jarmon (Patrick), Greg Walley (Christy), Mandy German; thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Lewis is at last reunited with her beloved husband, Matthew Henry Lewis Sr.; son; Matthew Lewis Jr.; and sister, Mary Olive Bugg.
Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday – September 28, 2021 at the Brashiers Chapel Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. with Amanda Walley, officiating.
