Nell Ruth Lowery, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 2, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Lowery and sister, Ouida Mae Sanders.
Mrs. Lowery is survived by her two sons, Michael Wade Traller (Janice) of Gurley, AL and Martin Scott Traller (Glenda) of Huntsville, AL; daughter, Carole Ann Butler (John) of Lexington, AL; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Lowery was born in Memphis, TN and grew up there. She spent her life with her family in Poplar Bluff, MO, Tupelo, MS, Florence, AL and settled in Huntsville, AL. She was a mother, homemaker, and enjoyed many years working in the retail industry. Mrs. Lowery retired after a 25-year career with Phoenix Industries in Huntsville where she worked as a seamstress.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday November 13, 2016 at Cornerstone Community Church, 8100 Whitesburg Dr., Huntsville, with a memorial service to follow at 2.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks those who wish to address memorial donations to Cornerstone Community Church Project Haggai Fund.
