Nell Katherine Chessor Coble of Florence, Alabama went to be with her Lord on September 12, 2023. Nell was born on July 1, 1939 in Lobelville, Tennessee. Nell was a long time, dedicated member of Jacksonburg Church of Christ. She graduated Lobelville High School in 1957 where she was a cheerleader, basketball player and class salutatorian. After graduation in 1958 she married the love of her life, James “Jim” William Coble. She was always a wonderful stay at home wife and mother.
Services will be Friday, September 15, 2023 at Jacksonburg Church of Christ beginning with visitation at 12:00 p.m. and the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Nell was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jim Coble; and her parents, Kermit and Edna Chessor.
She is survived by her two daughters, Emily (Daniel) Springer, and Jamie (Daniel) Coombs; sisters, Peggy Joyce (Ronnie) Reece of Lobelville, Tennessee and Trina (Gary) Corlew of Kingston Springs, Tennessee; grandchildren, Emily Kathryn, Dan (Summer), Elicia Springer, and Andrew Coombs. Also, a future great-granddaughter, Ansley Rayne Springer, whom she would have adored.
The family would like to thank the staff of El Reposo Nursing Home for caring for and loving on our sweet Mama; she loved you all!
