Nell Edwards, 73 of Lacey’s Spring, the Morgan City Area died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in Huntsville Hospital.
Mrs. Edwards was born March 19, 1942 in DeKalb County, the daughter of Fred and Julia Ross Williams. She and James W. Edwards were married in 2011. She was a devoted member of the Brindlee Mountain Baptist Church and has for the past 31 years called the Morgan City area her home. Mrs. Edwards was a Wal Mart Associate.
She is survived by her husband: James W. “Jimmy” Edwards; three sons and daughters-in-law: James and Mary Jo Campbell, Kelly and Loretta Campbell and Mike and Beverly Edwards; two daughters and a son-in-law: Teresa and Kendall Foust and Diane Edwards; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; a brother: Thomas Williams (Lois Whitaker), a special niece: Jenna Mayfield, her church family and many dear friends and neighbors.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Brindlee Mountain Baptist Church, Brother Robby Boyd, officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery (Highway 231 in Morgan City), Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Brindlee Mountain Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Brindlee Mountain Baptist Church.
