Nelda June McGuff Padilla, age 69 of Jasper, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at her residence. She was a local business owner at the Rebel Queen Restaurant in Cordova and at the Jasper Indoor Flea Market. She also spent time in the military.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 21, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Padilla was preceded in death by her Husband-Frank S. Padilla; Son-Joseph Glenn Smothers; Mother-Carrie E. Smith McGuff; Father: Floyd Y. McGuff; Sisters-Carol Joan Tall, Elsie Marie Hart and Carolyn Faye Bickerstaff; Brother-Jerry T. Ledbetter.
She is survived by her Daughters-Shannon DeGroot (Kris Wistafke) and Toni Padilla (Gary Tubbs); Son-Kristopher Regas (Andrea); Sister-Kaye Roberts (Malcolm); Brother-Larry McGuff (Kathy); 11 Grandchildren-Keeshia DeGroot, Kaci Blackwell, Austin DeGroot Moericke, Chase Wesly Keeton, Sarah Riffe Powell, Joseph Trevor Padilla, Micah Todd Wintermyer, Benjamin Regas, Isabella Regas, Jeremy M. Binder and Heather J. Binder; 4 Greatgrandchildren-Kaclynn Davis, Talia Grace Tyler, Atlas A. Powell and Bridgette C. Powell.
