Nelda H. Laney, 73, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Jacks.
Mrs. Laney is survived by her husband, Rev. Ira Laney; son, Gregory (Kimberly) Brock; three sisters: Lois Esslinger, Joyce Peek, and Reba Roseborough; brother, McClain Hughes; three grandchildren: Anna Kissinger, Savanah Wheeler, and Brittney Tipton; three stepdaughters: Eva Whiteacre, Jessica Laney, and Sudie Hector; two stepsons, Russ and Jay Daly; and two step-grandchildren, Lindsay Whiteacre and Zachary Whiteacre.
Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Service will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Holmes St. United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens. Donations may be made to Holmes Street United Methodist Church or Cove Baptist Church of Owens Crossroads.
